True multifactor protection

COVR is not yet another service-specific authenticator – it’s a universal multifactor authentication app that combines three layers of authentication – the smartphone, a pin and biometrics (a fingerprint sensor, or a facial-recognition camera).

The world has learned that passwords are very unsafe and easy to steal for a determined hacker. Most authentication methods on the market provides only two factors for protection (2FA) and there is always a password involved somewhere.

COVR is different as it doesn’t need passwords or other personal credentials to work. If there are no passwords, there is nothing to steal – this is what makes COVR truly unique.

Passwordless MFA

Facial recognition, 6-digit PINs and fingerprint activation instead of passwords. MFA enhances security drastically as it is extremely doubtful that an intruder could forge all three authentication categories.

Out-of-Band technology

Minimal access point exposure with the smartphone as a second authentication channel for two-way communication. Levels up the security as it’s difficult for fraudsters to ambush both channels at once.

Asymmetric encryption

COVR’s uses asymmetric (public-key) cryptography that guarantees that the data is authentic to a degree where it can’t be questioned (non-repudiation).
